Many busy pregnant women and their support person want a thorough birth class, but cannot do weeks and weeks of a series. We know because we used to offer this same class as a series and due to popular demand — now it’s completed in one full day. Providing parents-to-be with the same detailed information they need, but at the convenience of of a one-time class.

Whether it's in a hospital, a birthing center or home you'll learn about birth and labor skills to use during your own unique and amazing birth.
More than a method class, the Intensive Childbirth Education teaches you evidence-based pregnancy and labor skills. You'll learn and practice many techniques and coping measures so that at your birth you'll have relaxation, meditation, positioning and other comfort measure to choose from to birth your baby.
The Intensive Childbirth Education in Orange County is applicable in any birthing location (hospital, birth center or home) and goes far and beyond to truly prepare you to birth your baby with empowerment. We will focus on natural birthing while also covering birthing options.
What's the difference between taking this Childbirth Education Intensive and the Labor Skills Workshop?
While they both happen in one day, the Intensive covers more topics than the Labor Skills class. The Intensive covers labor, as well as baby sleep, bonding with baby, babywearing, postpartum care and breastfeeding. It's a full spectrum childbirth education class.Group classes take place on a Saturday, 9am - 5pm. We take small breaks and a lunch break.

When to take the class?
It's recommended to take the class sometime during your third trimester.
Spaces are limited so we encourage you to register soon.
The Intensive Childbirth Education Class is geared to the pregnant mother and her support person whether it be her partner, husband, wife, boyfriend, family, friend.
*If support person is also pregnant, please process payment for two.
About the teacher
Giselle Baumet is the owner of Granola Babies and mother of four beautiful children. She has specialized training and years of experience supporting parents from birth through the first years of parenting. Giselle is a Childbirth Educator, trained with the world-recognized ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association) and Birthing From Within training. She's also a Certified Lactation Educator/Counselor with University of San Diego, a Postpartum Doula with DONA and Birth Doula and a Sleep Coach. In addition, Giselle is a Certified Positive Parenting Educator with Positive Discipline and an American Heart Association Certified CPR Instructor.
Cost includes a support person. If you're support is pregnant as well, please pay for two spots. And healthy snacks provided during class. You will also receive a manual full of resources.

Birth Class Cancellation Policy
Childbirth education classes may be cancelled for refund via payment made up to 14 days before class. After this time, no refunds will be issued. Any cancellation or class date change within 14 days of class will be issued store credit (to use towards a new registration, if changing dates or for products at Granola Babies) minus $75 which is retained by Granola Babies.
