Why Cloth?

Health, Health, Health  no chemicals soaking into your baby's skin, breathable, soft  - healthier air for baby to breath - no omissions from the chemicals in the disposable diapers invading baby's lungs.  Far less rash problems.

TONS Easier than you are imagining - When the doctor told me that my baby was allergic to diapers and wipes I almost yelled "NOOOOOOOOO" as my mind started replaying images of my childhood babysitter dunking poopy diapers in a toilet and swishing - oh the swishing!!!!.     --- so after hours of research I realized - hey this is way better than I ever imagined it could be. I actually don't mind it at all and I don't even like doing regular laundry  - this is easier for me that doing our regular clothes!!  GIVE yourselves a three week adjustment period. It does take some time to get the hang of things -  be patient with yourselves -  if you grab a disposable now and then during the adjustment period don't beat yourselves up, just toss it out and reach for cottony soft goodness next time!! You will get used to it and eventually you will never want to see a disposable again. Then when you see other babies in disposables you can say "disposables are so last week".

Financial Savings - Average savings are between $1500-2000 per child! If you use cloth on more than one child the savings is even more. This is the big selling point for Dad's. So when you Mom's get excited with me about the cute hand dyed pink wool cover just remind Dad that it is saving money and that it is healthier for baby.

Saves Mother Earth I know that cloth diapering helps the environment. No doubt about it. Some may say that all that washing is water waste - but look how many trees are cut down for one baby's worth of diapers!. How many chemicals are used and put into the water ways and air ways both through manufacturing disposable diapers and then after use in the land fills??

Happy Babies - I am not kidding. When we switched to cloth my baby slept better and was just happier over all. When we first switched I didn't have enough cloth diapers to get through more than a day and if I had to put disposables on her she let us know she didn't like it. If the baby was happily slumbering my husband would ask "is she in cloth?" I am not claiming cloth to be the baby cure all I am just saying that it worked for our little one. Happy Buns Make Happy Babies!!

It is so fun. I know you may think that sounds crazy - but it is fun. A lot of fun. What Mommy doesn't like shopping for the cutest, softest accessories for their little bundle of joy?? It is so heart warming to know that your baby is comfortable and happy because you finally found the perfect diaper!!
