Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC)

The Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC) is a basic front carry that can be done with young babies and toddlers, as shown below. You will need a long wrap for this carry. I'm using a 4.6m Girasol for this demonstration.

1. Place the middle of the
wrap over your waist.
  2. Take both ends of the wrap
and bring them around your sides
and cross them on your back.
This makes an X on your back.
Be sure to spread the fabric over
your back.

3. Bring each end of the wrap
over each shoulder.

  4. Pick up your baby and
insert his body into the front
panel.

5. Place him in the sitting position
on your waist and bring the panel
over his back and under his knees.

  6. Take the right end of the wrap
and bring it over your baby's right
knee, across the back and under
the left knee. Hold that end
with your hand.

7. Then with your free hand,
take the left end of the wrap
and bring it over your baby's left
knee, across the back and under
the right knee.

  8. Bring both ends around
your waist and tie with a knot.

9. Spread the inner cross
over your baby's back.
  10. Next, spread the outer cross
over your baby's back.

11. All done and super
comfortable!
