Newborns need more changes per day than older babies, so you can adjust the amount if you are starting with an older baby or if you don’t mind washing more often. If you want to wash every 2-3 days you need the following:

• 24-36 Diapers
• 6-8 Covers (if diapers are not All In Ones or Pockets you will need covers)
• 6-9 Doublers or Inserts
• 2 Pail liners
• 1-2 Wet Bags
• 36 Wipes
• Wipe Solution
• Fasteners (depending of diaper types)

What if I just want to do cloth part time or to just try it out – what are the basics?

• 12-24 Diapers
• 4 Covers (if diapers are not All In Ones or Pockets, you will need covers)
• 3 Doublers or Inserts

• 1 Wet Bag (if you are only using cloth at home you won’t need this)
