Inserts & Doublers for Cloth Diapering

What's a doubler and what's a insert? An insert is the main absorbancy of a cloth diaper. And a doubler is a smaller and less absorbant version that is used to make your insert a little more absorbant for times like naps or bedtime or for when you havea  heavy wetter. So, for example, let's say for naps - you'd add an insert to your cloth diaper (which often have specific inserts that are needed for that particular brand) and then if you're little one is going down for a nap, you'd add a doubler as well.

An insert is usually "stuffed" into a pocket diaper, but there are also inserts that are used with hybrid cloth diapers. Microfiber is not recommended to be used against baby's skin, as it can cause dryness, but inserts and doublers (and all of our doublers are) lined with fleece, cotton, microsuede, bamboo, minky, and/or hemp are perfectly ok to use against baby's skin.
