Description:
The Mayan women of Guatemala have been wearing their babies for thousands of years, while they work, travel, and go about their lives. Since 1984 they have been partnering with Berlin-based Girasol to hand-weave baby wraps for use around the world. These indigenous artisans are paid fair trade wages and use only untreated cotton, which is woven with a special diagonal weaving technique that allows for both elasticity and durability.

How It’s Used:
Girasol Baby Wraps come with detailed illustrations on how to tie the wrap in six different carrying positions. A Girasol Baby Wrap can be tied different ways for front, back and hip carries. Your baby can be in an upright position, reclining, or even nursing in the Girasol Baby Wrap.
