Breastfeeding Support Group (Wednesdays @ 1pm)

Every Wednesday @ 1pm

The breastfeeding support group at Granola Babies is an inviting, friendly and welcoming group for mothers. Children are welcomed and there's a comfortable sofa for nursing. You'll receive both education and breastfeeding support for a successful breastfeeding relationship with your child.

Each week there's a topic including ~

• How to know that your baby is getting enough breastmilk
• The risks of not breastfeeding and the benefits of breastfeeding
• Adventures in tandem nursing
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
• Nursing past the first year
• Challenges and tips when nursing a newborn
• Breastfeeding when traveling with baby
• and more! 

The group is led by Certified Lactation Educators Giselle and Emily. Giselle leads the group every Wednesday at 1pm and is a  Certified Lactation Educator/Counselor (CLEC) and a DONA-trained Postpartum Doula. She is also currently in the ICEA certification program for Childbirth Education. She's a mother of three breastfed children, as well as owner of Granola Babies. Emily, a breastfeeding mama herself, is a Certified Lactation Educator/Counselor (CLEC) and an experienced obstetrical nurse (RN, BSN) and Public Health Nurse (PHN). She appreciates how her range of experiences allows her to understand the science of the breastfeeding relationship and approach it from a holistic, naturally-minded position.

You can get all your breastfeeding questions answered and meet other local breastfeeding mamas.

Pre and post baby weigh check available to measure milk intake.

Free to attend and no registration required. To create and maintain an enviroment that allows for easy and comfortably nursing during the meeting, we ask the that dads wait outside of the meeting.

All of our events and classes take place at Granola Babies, 3315 Hyland Avenue, Suite B in Costa Mesa in Orange County, CA.
