Christmas 2011

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s my favorite holiday. I love Christmas! Loved it as a child and so much more as an adult since I get to share it with our kids and share in their holiday joy as well. And this year is extra special since my mother is visiting from the Dominican Republic. Our usual Christmas tradition is to make pumpkin and cranberry pancakes for breakfast, followed by opening gifts. Then we have appetizers for lunch while I cook a feast for Christmas dinner. After we eat so much that we nearly explode, we then head out to the Back Bay here in Newport Beach and then come home for a family Christmas movie.

Even the Pumpkin Cranberry pancakes that were burnt were yummy.

Bits of Whimsy doll with dark hair and blue eyes just like her.

My boys playing with the dinos and other wooden figurines.

Oh happy day!

Perfectly sized train set for my 2 year old.

Happy holidays!

Carefree granola kids.
