An Autumn Day in Nature

This week we were enjoying Fall (or Southern California’s version of it) by spending a lot of time at one of our favorite places – Irvine Regional Park. Especially for those of you, who like me, live in more urban areas, if you have a forest preserve, regional park, wilderness park in your area, I recommend taking a visit before winter comes along.  There’s something so special about being in nature.

Okhan fell in love with a tree that has many large branches that are close to the ground – truly a perfect climbing tree for a 4 year old.

Lora gathered many nuts to later make fairies and gnomes with.

And Okhan gathered a selection of just the right sticks (mind you, not every stick made the cut) to make a forest with at home.
